TCK/CCK Care
If you’re a Third Culture Kid (TCK), in addition to assisting with higher education planning, we can work with you to create an educational plan for your time outside of your passport country and support you with debrief sessions to process life experiences. Living internationally is exciting, but also challenging. TCK debrief sessions play a crucial role in supporting the emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being of Third Culture Kids as you navigate your complex multicultural experiences.
We can help you explore difficult experiences and emotions without fear of judgment, recognize and work through subconscious feelings or expectations, and address grief, loss and identity issues.

Lisa & CCK care
Throughout her work overseas and with refugees and immigrants in Texas, Lisa developed a love for Cross Cultural Kids (CCKs) – children who lived in or interacted with more than one culture during their childhood. These children include immigrants and refugees, those living near border communities, and those with parents who come from different ethnic, cultural or linguistic backgrounds. To better serve this special population, Lisa has studied and earned certificates in the Laws of Transitions from Safe Passage Across Networks (SPAN) and as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) Debriefer from TCK Training. Both programs have sharpened her skills to help CCKs process and live their lives in healthy ways.

Lisa believes CCK care is essential for identity, belonging, and navigating life in our multi-cultural world. Understanding one another’s stories, fulfilling potential and purpose, and giving mobile families tools to help process through life’s transitions will result in a ripple effect of compassion and confidence personally, in families and in communities for generations to come. CCK care provides the necessary skills for these key young people to be healthy adults, able to process grief and better understand their identities. In an increasingly mobile and interconnected world, TCKs have a valuable and unique outlook on life, able to relate to cultures like never before. As one CCK caregiver has noted, they are the secret key to the world working together to affect positive change.
