Families can select comprehensive college guidance throughout the 4 years of high school or opt for assistance with individual steps in the application process.
Program Offerings with Outcomes
Grade 9: Assist with developing a profile, including academic, curricular and extracurricular choices, identifying opportunities of interest to pursue, and asking the most of summer breaks
Grade 10: Continuing and building on the work from grade 9, Lisa assists with developing a standardized testing plan and initiates a general exploration of universities. Additionally, she works with the family to assist with planning potential campus visits.
Grade 11: More specialized conversations and support including discussions of teacher recommendations, crafting the first draft of a college list, and creating a resume and brainstorming essay topics.
Grade 12: Tailored discussions around application strategies, essays, deadlines, university requirements, navigating application platforms, and understanding financial aid and scholarships options (if applicable). Students will draft essays, receiving prompt feedback and suggestions around the editing process. Additionally, assistance will be given with interview preparation (if necessary), application review, and assistance with discussions about final university choices.​
